Lefranc Bourgeois celebrates its 300th anniversary
We celebrate 300 years of working with artists past and present; those who have helped us to shape the history of art over more than three centuries. In our first chapter on the theme of collaboration, you can discover the strong relationships we built with artists that enabled us to develop new innovations in the fine art sphere.
Outstanding archive images, competitions and tutorials: an array of surprises await you throughout the year to help you celebrate this new chapter of our story with us.

Absolute colour on any surface
Flashe paint was created in 1954 and inspired by collaboration between Raoul Dufy and Bourgeois when working on La fée électricité. Beloved by Vasarely, he collaborated with Lefranc Bourgeois in 1991 and contributed to the development of new tints for this range. Nowadays, it's still used by many painters for its matt finish and intense colours.
An extra-fine vinyl emulsion, Flashe is matt paint with great covering power that can be used on any surface. Available in 76 colours, including 38 mono-pigmented tones that are perfectly compatible with other ranges. The new colour chart also offers more statement colours, with six fluorescent tones and 12 iridescent ones.

Didier Vallé
To celebration 300 years of working with artists, we want to shine a spotlight on Didier Vallé, a Bordeaux-based hyperrealist painter who has been a keen user of Flashe for many years.
"I discovered Flashe in 1978. I paint texture, volume and light, for which Flashe offers many advantages. Intensity and depth of colour, in addition to matt and flat results. After 42 years of collaboration with Lefranc Bourgeois, a brand that has been renowned for 300 years, it’s the same pleasure to paint with Flashe as it was on the first day."
