Acrylic Paint

Explore the range
We have modernised the composition of our acrylic formula, in line with the ever-evolving use of colour. The range is now more precise in terms of colour and texture, dries more quickly and is more resistant to time. Because the pigments are bonded by a synthetic resin, the paste of our acrylic paint is easy to use and creates endless possibilities with colours that can be mixed seamlessly with one another.
A more precise range
Updated to reconcile the pleasure of painting with technique, the new texture of the Lefranc Bourgeois fine acrylic paint facilitates every movement, preserves the marks of the brush and stands the test of time.
Six new colours have been added to this range. Designed to meet the needs of painters and the demands of contemporary painting, they help round out the Lefranc Bourgeois acrylic range. The new colours can be mixed together to create new blends, thereby expanding your palette of different colour tones even further.

The Poetry of Colours
Born in Boulogne-Billancourt, Stéphanie de Malherbe is a graduate of Penninghen, a graphic art school. After working for the fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, where, among other things, she transcribed into drawings her ideas for the costumes for Luc Besson's "The 5th Element", she lived in Mexico for 11 years, then in Spain for 5 years, before returning to France. She lives in an former school in Chartre-sur-le-Loir, where she exhibits her work. Nature and reading are her main sources of inspiration. Stéphanie de Malherbe's painting often borders on abstraction and is characterised by transparencies, superimpositions and contrasts of colours. She likes to make shades vibrate by juxtaposing complementary colours. "To paint is to free all our creative potential and to reveal the power of the soul. To paint is to express dreams and poetry.

Colours and additives for endless creativity
We are committed to working hand in hand with leading specialists in the field – including painters, professional artists and scientists – to produce our paints. With our acrylic additives, painters are able to transform each shade into a colour matter, through a multitude of effects, textures, and light and depth effects. The shade becomes a versatile, adaptable and multiform material, meeting the needs and techniques of artists.
"My favourite colour is Lefranc Bourgeois red. To achieve this volume, this texture, I use a gel additive. It really gives character to the painting."

Our Artists
Diane Benoit du Rey
Diane Benoit du Rey was born in 1989. She trained at the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin (Esad Strasbourg) and recently worked in residence at the Plessix-Madeuc Workshops, at EFA Gallery in New York, the Machines Urbaines in Paris and is the 2017 winner of the Prix Paliss'art. She lives in Paris and her studio is located at the Halle Papin in Pantin. Her work is the result of a long process of transformation and recomposition and consists of composing a scenographed, resolutely sculptural ensemble where the figurative elements give the feeling of a narrative illusion.

Julian Semiao
Julian Semiao is a painter born in Lyon in 1996. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in visual arts from the University of Saint-Etienne and a master's degree in contemporary painting from the Paris-based Panthéon Sorbonne University, he currently resides in Paris where he works and exhibits regularly. He draws his inspiration from a spontaneous and socially committed pop art, to share his vision of a contemporary society always in motion.

Hom Nguyen
Born in Paris in 1972, Hom Nguyen is a self-taught artist with an instinctive style. As an unconventional personality, his works are just as much. Most of Hom’s work revolves around the creation of monumental portraits. Each of his paintings appears as a combat, a hand-to-hand confrontation with matter from which arises a will: to reveal the deepest of the human being through the lines and colour.
