FOR BUDDING ARTISTS

Lefranc Bourgeois is committed to guiding every artist in their work. That’s why we created a range specifically designed for children, because you’re never too young to be passionate about colour.
Budding artists now have the tools to express their creativity without limits.

LEARNING
THROUGH ART

Art is a great early learning activity. Lefranc Bourgeois has created a range of materials specifically for budding young artists.
It offers complete freedom and endless creativity, thanks to products and paints that are made from carefully chosen, non-toxic pigments, all suitable for children. Lefranc Bourgeois inspires and is inspired by the new generation of great artists.
By exploring colours, shapes and textures, children can have fun as they dive into their first creative adventure. It’s during these formative experiences that young artists demonstrate their curiosity and inventiveness; exploring and getting lost in a world of endless colour.

CREATIVE FAMILY TIME

We have created a Facebook group dedicated to parents looking for inspiration for young budding artists. Join the community to discover quick and easy creative ideas each week to keep your little ones busy.
If you want to test our products, take part in our frequent contests and creative challenges for the chance to win lots of Lefranc Bourgeois Kids’ products.

GUIDING PARENTS

To help parents make the most of the Lefranc Bourgeois Kids range, each product features easily identifiable symbols, which explain its possible uses and recommended age of use. These symbols are visible at first glance and are globally recognised.

THE COLOUR WHEEL

There are three magic colours, red, blue and yellow. Why are they magic? Because they cannot be created by mixing other colours! That’s why we call them the primary colours.
When two of the three primary colours are mixed together, they produce three secondary colours, purple, green and orange.
Colours that sit opposite each other on the colour wheel are called complementary colours. When placed next to each other, the contrast of these complementary colours increases and they become more vibrant. Many painters use this captivating technique.

CREATE YOUR COLOUR PALETTE

If you add Black and White to the three primary colours, Blue, Red and Yellow, you can make 12 new colours.

THE BUDDING ARTISTS’ HANDBOOK – GOUACHE AND ACRYLIC SPECIAL

To help parents cultivate their children’s creativity, Lefranc Bourgeois has created two complete handbooks about gouache and acrylic. These are the two types of paint most commonly used in schools.

Our handbooks explain the properties of each paint, and provide an easy method for learning the colours. They are designed to help both the young and the old to dive head-first into the world of colour. They even include activity sheets inspired by the world’s greatest artists, including Monet, Keith Haring and Vasarely.
