Stand oil is manufactured without metal oxides. It makes mixtures creamier and is useful for creating painterly, impressionist-style brush strokes (to round out each stroke). It is ideal for glazes when diluted slightly with oil.
It is non-yellowing and blends perfectly with light colours. It is also self smoothing; it erases brush marks and creates a smooth and taut look. After drying, a soft film forms. It is non-yellowing and holds up well over time.
